Host Institution
Established in 1985, CIES-IUL is a university research centre associated to ISCTE-IUL (Lisbon University Institute) and accredited by the FCT.
The main scientific areas of CIES-IUL are sociology and public policy, but it also develops relevant activity in the fields of political science, communication sciences, educational sciences, urban studies and social work.

The Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon is an institution which focuses in research and advanced training in the area of social sciences.
The main aim of this institution is to research about contemporary society in Portugal and other territories which have a relation with Portugal.
